JJ Velazquez is a visionary storyteller, justice reform advocate, and creative leader whose life’s work is rooted in resilience, accountability, and transformation. Wrongfully convicted in 1998, JJ spent nearly 24 years inside New York State’s maximum-security prisons before being granted clemency in 2021 and fully exonerated in 2024.
